Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay in Cresta, I observed that the hotel is a small but charming retreat for those seeking tranquility amidst the Swiss Alps. The housekeeping was commendable, ensuring a clean and orderly environment throughout my stay. However, I found the paid shuttle service, limited to only one trip per hour for five guests, to be a bit inconvenient compared to other hotels offering more flexible transportation options. While I appreciated the cozy atmosphere and attentive staff, I couldn't help but feel that the pricing didn't quite align with what I would expect from a five-star experience. On a positive note, the spa area with its heated outdoor pool was a definite highlight. After a day of outdoor activities, unwinding in the spa amidst the peaceful sounds of nature was truly rejuvenating. The breakfast buffet was satisfactory, offering a variety of fresh options including gluten-free choices. Free parking was a plus, and I must mention the serene garden area where one could relax and enjoy the alpine surroundings. While Cresta offers a peaceful and serene retreat, the high price point may not necessarily reflect the overall value for money in terms of luxury and service. For travelers seeking a balance between cost and comfort, Cresta may fall slightly short of the mark compared to other options in the region.
